    the key startling point on the chart is that sea and shelf ice is breaking down.... theres now a new iceberg that calved off the shelf that is a massive size.

    the loss of ice reduces the important reflectivity of sunlight, and this will result in faster absorption of heat in the waters around the Antarctic.
