One could argue that aside from the EV leasing 'loop hole" for US tax credit the IRA had been poorly implemented anyways. When you had to create a venn diagram to work out whether an EV qualifies for the tax credit it hardly creates incentives for buyers. On the manufacturing side the the ambiguity around FEOC status and where the 45x production credit can or cannot be applied likely stalled near term investment across the battery complex.
