Everything to do with the Turkish explosions. More explosions have now been reported. At least 5 so far (HSBC, a shopping mall, the British Consulate, etc). Nothing to do with jobless claim figures.
The first CNN email alert came through at 8:27pm, followed by a 2nd (new) report @8:47pm. The drop in US Futures occurred shortly after this, with the first HC report being made by Stock_Doctor @9:18pm.
It looks like the intelligence boys may be working hard overnight monitoring all manner of traffic (phone, internet intercepts, bulletin board messages, etc), looking for clues. So, what say those posters who were pointing last week to potential declines in the market by week's end? Was it for geo-political, fundamental, or other reasons that those comments were made?
