VRL is doing just fine. VRY was included in the ASX200 recently (as from Jan 1 2014) many of the tracker funds now need to hold VRL in their portfolio hence the increased volumes traded in the last few days. What happened today? My guess is that some fundie knocked it down on the close so he/she can start accumulating again on Monday, hence the 1.8 million shares in the closing auction, I suspect most of the buyers and sellers were the same party.
