I hear you. I used to follow Motley fool like the gospal. Onetime had my entire portfolio based on their recommendations which of course included RFG. The trouble with them is they don't dig deep into a company fundamentals plus they issue contradicting recommendations. From an investor's point of view which one do you trust. The other problem, they only tells what everyone knows. I realised that if i want to play this game i need to DMOR. I sold RFG in for 5.30 for 2 dollar profit. Unlike A2M, RFG around that time was on a downward trend. No bad news, all recommendations from Mortley fools were positive etc. Something told me that this is not right. If RFG is good why is prices going down. Smart investors must be knowing something that i didn't. On the otherhand 2 years ago exactly around this time of the year when i was following Motley fools like a gospal waiting next recommendation petiently i accidently saw A2M. My wife (teacher) told me kids and parents were talking about the product. I was about to buy it but was afraid. A2M at that time was trading at $2. Nothing of that stock was on Mortleys. If they were good in what they do they should be telling people a2m is a potential buy at that time. I think their reseach department has a bunch of idiots who just writes crap for the sake of getting paid without much quality. Some of the folks their are CFAs according to their profiles but i highly doubt whether thats true.
Any found this awesome book and I do recommend anyone playing this game to purchase a copy of Irrational Exuberance and read it.
