in theory that’s how it should be. I’ve thought lots about patterns with narcissists and abusive relationships - and essentially that is what is happening with trump and the (dis)United States.

a common pattern is to bleed their victim dry, to ride on the coattails of another and suck them emotionally and financially for their own ego needs. When they are done and there is nothing more because the victim has run out of money, stopped being able to play the game or seen the abuse for what it is they run themselves so that they can feel they have control. But they only run if they feel they can’t get back control. Often they will try to find a way of keeping their victim in play as long as they think there is a chance of screwing some last little benefit out of them. They only run if they can’t see a way of fighting the unfairness and unreasonableness of those they saw as victims. They may not even run in true terms of the word as they search for the last vestiges of manipulation and control. They may fight to the bitter end using whatever means they have - courts, others whatever

and all the while they maintain the fantasy that they are the wronged party. They will ignore the evidence. They will ignore all that they have stolen, messed up, and used their victim because in their heads they are utterly entitled to the spoils.

this is what America is dealing with and the American people, the constitution, tradition and decency will play no part in trumps actions and decisions

on his own the outcome would be clear and inevitable but he is surrounded by those who collude - actively - perhaps because they believe in him, because they like power, because they live in the trance of the abused or because they are frightened of failing. It is those who we must most fear. Trump’s is a bullying brawler and he needs people with more sophisticated who are prepared to stretch the law to its limit and beyond

it is the faceless, brainless and immoral who hold the power
