the company needed funds at a record breaking discount price due to the whole sector smashed , wasn't just peaks risk that made it a 10 cents raising from a 25 cents price , many other rare Earth plays the have been smashed. So not as localized as the risk your alluding too. Add in lack lustre progress based on drawn out progress from sh nghe and a rebound was always going to be a hard task, many here are long term holders, this stocks low liquidity is testament to that. Management though have made serious errors why we now are at this crossroads. I always thought they had the ability to be manage this project and certainly reduce the risk, they even had finance with African banks but said shenghe deal was superior for shareholders, but now Ultimately we are snookered, the time constraints mean higher external bids are uncertain by Tanzania desire to have this mine license progress from the slow progression the management decided to risk with shenghe finance, a new bidder hasn't the flexibility of time for a miner which would be a plug and play like a copper or iron ore mine, rare Earth is more complex in extraction and with limited down stream producers for off takes. End of the day the offer price is ridiculous for the ground and minerals it holds but time now is what we're dealing with and sadly its management that get a nice payout from performance shares but are responsible for destroying shareholders value in a world class asset. End of the day the offer price only reflects the costs the shareholders have paid for its development to date, not the value in ground, hence it's undervalued offer that most know management shouldn't have accepted .
