Hi folks!Also been following GDY pretty well since start,but sold out of it when they dropped the plug as it looked like a can of worms for a while.Been to a couple of their meetings before present problems started & strongly believe they will eventually succeed,but the present issue seems to be the capability of the fractured granite to move & grab the drill string,not the force the rig can exert-this rig has already shown itself capable of shearing the string..maybe the new rig will have better "torque limiting" or perhaps a stronger one is to enlarge the hole to use a thicker string(more initial expense,more strength,but perhaps more surface to grab for the granite? is the extra string strength likely to be great enough to totally overcome any mechanical properties of the granite?(Please Kashga?) I have no background in or knowlege of drilling,so would appreciate any input..
