Just read RR's latest of 6th.


I wonder if the following paragraph of his would cover my question. He says

... But the real disaster would arrive if doubts were to arise as to the viability of the dollar as the world's reserve currency. If the US was unable to pay its foreign debts with the reserve currency dollars that it churns out, the US would then be in the position of having to pay its debts from assets or some other real, intrinsic items. Talk about a financial disaster, this would be it.
