I got the same advice as you. Only difference was that I was the idiot that bought at $2.25.

My experience is that GWR moves like a yoyo and ‘out of the blue’ issues tend to emerge on a surprisingly regular basis, which makes the stock interesting to follow but hard to predict where things are heading.

Intensified by the current financial environment the ’out of the blue’ issues has caused the current market to lose hope in GWR. IMO the GWR share price will not stabilise or see fair value until dividends start arriving, which will be years away.

In summary if you are a long term investor then I suggest GWR is very good value right now, on the other hand if you are a short term investor be prepared to fall off the roller coaster.
