I have seen a few posts asking why events in the US and with Donald Trump should be of any concern to
Australians.
Well, I understand the sentiment.
But I suggest to my Australian friends/readers, who generally seem like a bunch of straight-up nice blokes, except for a few leftist dinosaurs who are stuck watching MSNBC and CNN, that you get yourself ready to receive a lot of explanations and excuses from your government about how Aussie intel services assisted rogue and criminal elements in the United States government to overthrow a duly elected, sitting President of the United States.
The excuses are already coming out of the UK... they are trying to blame the Russians, natch.
Our peoples are friends. But your intel services have not been doing well by the people of the United States.
[And it is likely that the US intel services have returned the favor at some point.]
Don't challenge me on this, just wait and see.
I'm just a retired guy and the intel services try to hide what they are doing.
We have to make educated guesses.
