gdbeech I am unaware of why the belief that the govt is considering a vote on the issue but I would think that if its going to happen it would be allowing a conscience vote by members and would likely go down well with most voters.
The libs will be caught out otherwise as I have no doubt labor will make it an election issue that will work in its favour. If Turnbull gets it out of the way before the election Labor will lose that leverage imo.
However, does Turnbull have the guts to do this? Don’t know.
