The shares arising from the placement to wholesale investors became available for trading on 26 Oct (see the timetable p15 of Investor Presentation).
It appears than unlike just about all other placements there was no scale back of wholesale applications.
Many successful applicants were unable to hedge their positions because (for whatever reason) there was a constraint on their ability to short sell.
A clear example of how restrictions on short selling results in a overly volatile / disorderly market (ie share price was higher than what it would otherwise have been last week and now lower than what it would have otherwise been this week)
