I hold a few SDL - bought at higher prices than today.
I like to think the takeover will go through. What worries me though is the spread between the trading price of 32 cents and the 45 cent deal.
If Hanlong actually had all its boxes ticked and finance was just a formality. . .. . then you would expect Chinese buying to narrow the spread very considerable. Obviously it wouldn't be Hanlong buying as principal. .. . . .but it wouldn't be insider trading at this juncture for friends of Hanlong/CDB/etc to buy stock to generate a nice little profit when the 45 cent bid goes through.
So why aren't they buying?
Cheers
