Something I fail to understand is why all these people put their buy orders in for 18c, sit there in anticipation talking up their chances of getting in at 18c, yet risk missing out on mountains of money for the sake of a 5c saving?

By my calculations if we conservatively see this reaching $1+ (which we all do or we wouldn't be here) and with the current share price being 23c, why would you risk 77c of profit (conservatively) for the saving of 5c.

You might be the smart ones to set it at 18 if you get in, but you'll look like a bigger fool if like expected this takes off. Might not be tomorrow, but keep holding to save your 5c. Here in SA bottles and cans get 10c refunds, you might want to come live here tightwads.
