Ian and team have done a great job up until this point to keep SOI low which is the catalyst for a big rerate when you get down to the business end of building a mine and hitting production
All that goes out the window with this deal, as does all the news flow regarding epa, fid, and converting all these moa’s into binding agreements
I can’t see any other party coming along and wanting to create competition in the form of a bidding war for the asset based on what has transpired, but I hope it happens.
Seems people have been busy working on a merger when they could have been pushing to deliver on other objectives set 12-18months ago
