I too fell for the dream and got too greedy. Whilst not as life changing outcome as Pythagerous's story could have been I never the less could have had a tidy profit, enough to halve my admittedly quite small mortgage. Then watched it fall all the while thinking it would turn around again which, of course was never going to happen. The saddest thing is this all occurred during my divorce settlement, meaning I paid out on the value of the shares at the time and now have jack all to show for it.
