Marathon will drill eight to 12 wells at this location in 2011. It estimates a well cost of $4 million with all costs, including facilities figured in. Estimates of operating costs between $5-$6/Boe and net development costs of $15-$20/Boe are expected. This was an interesting purchase with respect to Samson. Marathon is now just south of Devon Energy's leasehold, which in turn is just south of Samson's remaining acres.
