Please don't get me wrong, sell wine to China. Have at it.
Just be aware that the communist party will not hesitate to use trade leverage against you one day when they feel like it serves their domestic political interests.
In the event that CCP reset the Australian wine trade with China to zero it would be good to not have too much of your product in that market, just sayin
What is the right %? How quickly can you change labels (cost) and shift elsewhere (discount)?
I have reduced my exposure recently to booming minerals companies that have more than 50% of their trade with China that cant be easily moved elsewhere due to processing infrastructure and maintained or increased exposure to food (grains) in the CCP induced dips. Wine is interesting in that it is like food in some ways but it is non-essential luxury to most humans.
