So true Jerome, and there were a number of predecessors whose story was the same. Each was an updated version to keep up with the changing mind of mankind, however this does not mean that we in our 'enlightened' times should discard it as complete fantasy.
The lessons still remain lost to the many, no thanks to the same devolution amongst the priest class among whom there seems to be very few with even a tinkling of what we can achieve.
It is unfortunate that those who know, would still be thrown to the dogs, today if any were to gain a real following as this would mean the end to the Herod's of our present day world and a 'heaven' on earth.
