If that's true, then what does is say for the vast majority of Christians who believe that Mary was in fact a virgin (in the modern sense of the word).
There's been a lot of 'shifting the goalposts' in Christianity over time and a finding of common ground (eg with Scientific theory). There is only ONE reason for this - to 'attract votes from the electorate'.
How sad that a religion would resort to this. And it's not just Christianity that resorts to propaganda.
