wesr, I have followed a similar path and come to the opposite conclusion. What particularly puts me off people like Morrison is when he blatantly lies to "prove" his point. For instance, he says "Roman Guard. The Greek terms used in Matt. 27:65 can refer only to the Roman Guard."

That is a lie. In FACT, it cannot refer to anything other than a Pharasaical guard. Units of Roman guards were not placed under the control of Jewish priests. But Pilate says "You have a guard. Take it and secure the tomb ..."

When someone writes such utter rubbish like that, you can't trust one word they say. So check out some more:

"This means the three professional executioners who signed the death warrant (Mk. 15: 44) were all mistaken."

WHAT!!! OK, by know the guy appears like a raving lunatic. Mk. 15:44 makes no reference to three; professional executioners; or death warrant. The creep is relying on laziness by his readers to accept what he says is true.

No need to look further through THAT book.

Even Director12 misquotes the bible to support his hypovolemic shock theory, quoting John 19:17 to show that Jesus couldn't carry the cross to Golgotha - whereas that passage says he DID carry it all the way!
