I bit the bullet about 9 months ago and sold a cherrished 2yr old diesel Disco 3 4WD (8-9L/100km) and bought a Peugot 307 diesel touring wagon (4.5-5.2L/100km) ... I am also have a program of renewing a fleet of Toyota petrol utes (typ as bad as 13L/100km) to Ford diesel utes (8/9L/100km) ... its only a transitionary move before more radical thinking will be essential imo.
