Well PJ77 do you really think we will all go back to living in caves?
The oil companies arent going to sit there doing nothing until the oil runs out and go broke. They will release these technologies upon us over the next few decades. They hold the power now and will continue to hold the power over these technologies when they will be required, make no mistake about it.
Human history is full of doomsayers and panick merchants all of whom are eventually proved wrong by mans ability to overcome driven by his insatiable greed.
