It won't last at $2, oil is plentiful and there is more of it in Iraq.
This guy in Washington is doing every thing possible to get it as high as possible before he leaves
(a) Depress the $US, pushing up the price
(b) Keep Iraq at war at any cost so you can't drill it as there is more oil there then there is or was in Saudi and it hasn't even been mined yet!
(c) Lots of BS attacks on oil infrastructure to push the price up in $5 increments
