Commentators are suggesting that Rudd has about 40 votes in the 103 caucus. He needs 52 to win.

Supposing he just gets over the line, what then? Almost half of the caucus will not really support him.

Gillard and Swan hate him so I can't see them serving in his cabinet, particularly if Shorten is given the deputy PM job.

Will they go to the back bench and sulk? Despite what Rudd does, the media will be focussed on these two and I will sure they will have plenty to say.
