Does anyone think the cartel will ever let the capitalist system collapse? NO WAY - they have hundreds of trillions in assets that they control, so lets not even ever consider a total collapse. They can however push and pull levers anywhere in the world to ensure civil society.
It just happens to be one of those times where they may have to give a bit more then they get to maintain order, but they'll recover that many times over once ordinary people are stripped of assets but continue to have debts to repay.
