Hi guys, I, like most everyone else who holds CNP believe in the long term viability of the company. And I hope that when the ANN comes re extension of debt repayment prior to April 30 that there is a surge in the sp.
However, for the sake of devil's advocacy - what if there is no surge?
I only expect an ANN to reveal that there will be an extension of debt repayment until Sept 30. I don't expect that fire sales are imminent (i.e. in the next few weeks) or that the management would recommend a takeover of the company.
In that scenario, surely many in the market will perceive it as only another short-term stay of execution and perhaps there will be no resultant bump in the sp.
(Declaration - on the morning of Thursday 4th April I posted a similar cautionary warning - within 2 hours the sp went from 32 to 65 then to 52 and a trading halt..... please God the same thing happens within 2 trading hours of this post! lol)
