Bosnia was an instance where the US and the UK used NATO to attack the Serbs who were slaughtering muslims.

In fact the "success" they had there no doubt reinforced their resolve to use military power to change the world (to their liking).

But freedom and democracy are a poor second to safety and a secure job. You can't make things better by bombing.
