Have a read of what you just wrote and consider the words "in so far"

Originally statement made by chairman was that they had no basis for claim and it would be defended vigerously.

Now I read the later position as saying that there may be a claim (ie something may have happened that wasnt right) but that MMX doesnt believe CHM can win an interest in the asset. ie our lawyers are telling us that they cant get their hands on IO assets.

This is a material shift and shows that your beloved chairman is prepared to bet the shareholders farm while relying on the word of past management.

I reckon if MMX issued CHM 30 million shares plus a couple of million for costs, you would grumble, tell us CHM holders that we settled for peanuts against potential amount that could be won and MMX would start to head in the right direction.
