Mining companies were private and they sold the companies off to foreign owners
So, if the government bought them back - that would make the companies government owned
??? - bit of a philosophical issue there-
but, lets say we do it ---------- what then?
privatize? - so, the government sells the mining companies back to superannuation funds - whose sole hobby in life is to flog stuff off to foreigners --
so, they sell em back to foreigners -------- what then?
seems to me that if we think it's a good idea to buy back the farm - then, we shouldn't have allowed it to be sold off in the first place
in which case then, you could give up the military - and do some actual good with the money instead of buying dud mining companies
sorry mick - this one doesn't make any sense to me
