We have had enough of "watchful waiting" by successive Aussie Governments who believe in a phantom Free Market and that Governments ought to leave economic planning and leadership to the "Free Marketeers"
If Japan, Germany, Korea, China and Singapore had to subscribe the that style of passive Government's role they would not be where they are today.
Just look at Japan. It has virtually no natural resources yet it leads the world in hi-tech manufacturing . Similarily,
South Korea followed the Japanese Government/industrial model and prospered. Lee Kwan Yew took the economic planning initiative for Singapore 40 years ago and just look at Singapore now.
We have been inveigled by US capitalists to follow them (follow the Free Market) and just look at what that has done for
American society; not a model that we want to slavishly follow. Who wants 12% of its population on food stamps!
It is time that the Australian took the bull by the horns and set a solid foundation for Australia's economic development rather
than giving Big Business a tax cut and expecting Big Business to then do the right thing by Australia via a misguided
"Trickle Down" fairy tale!
Come on Goldilocks Turnbull, let's make Australia greater than Japan, China, Germany, South Korea or Singapore!
We have the goods in the ground to do that!
