As for someone else buying ESG out, I do agree with you that a JV could quite easily succeed, without creating much competiton either.

After all, a Foreign company would need FRB approval to own a fair chunk, or all of a company. In the case of a JV with STO that part may not be required and not as stringent as it might be without STO.
