re: wrong saxa_1 If you mean that the logging tools are being cooked, then instead of running the tools to bottom and logging on the way up (because then you know that the wireline is in tension hence you have an accurate depth) then you log on the way down and (hopefully) get some readings before the tool gets too hot. The downside is that the tool may hang up and allow slack in the line in which case you may not have a reliable depth. If this is what is happening it would tend to indicate a bottom hole temp of maybe up to 300 deg C which would not be a very hospitable environment for liquid hydrocarbons.
