My buddy in oz says that the spp is for the following reason:

"Are you talking about the announced Share Purchase Plan? The reason they are doing the share placement is not for major shareholders or others its for people who have less than a marketable parcel of shares. So what this ann. means is they will automatically buy back your shares if you own less than $500 worth or you have an opportunity to buy shares at 3.7 cents/share with no brokerage costs to increase your shareholding to a greater than marketable parcel."

So I asked him why would they do such a thing. and i am waiting on his response. will post it once he mails me back.
