What if?

I am posting this with some reluctance as, while AGL has been on my watch list for a while, I am not a shareholder and so have not been following the recent history of AGL including its operations, finances, struggles, and corporate action, but have seen some glimpses of such.

So here is my "What if?
Atlassian is listed in USA but not Australia, and has been very successful in growing its size, revenue and share price in the USA, as is seen as one of the successes of the "Tech Boom" - and it is from OZ - well done!
Atlassian sp is currently USD$184, a long way above USD$25 in 2016, but somewhat below the USD$458 peak in October 2019.
Its market cap is USD$46 Billion.
Last quarter (March 2022) it had revenue of USD$740M, on which it made a loss of $31M.
Price/Revenue ~ 16
P/E negative as loss making

The share prices of many tech companies are coming back to reality now that the "free money" bubble has commenced to burst. They will come back much more. Many will experience the failure they deserve (IMO Atlassian is not one of these as it has a good but not yet profitable business).

So, what if you had a huge massively-overvalued holding in such a company and its sp was about to tank and would tank more and more-quickly if it was known that you were exiting because its sp was about to crash? Would it benefit you if you had a plausible virtuous reason for selling (needing the money for a new good cause)?
