as to what founders of companies do with their massive holdings of shares - they sell them down to invest in other areas... Elon Musk, Geoff Bezos... closer to home - Bevan Slattery.... again - this is not an unusual practice. Geoff Bezos has sold $billions and has only just lost
@thebarry111 I agree that MCB is not the person to run AGL - it isn't his skillset... he has asked for a seat on the board - which will give him the ability to be part of the oversight of AGL... it is not the same as running AGL.
The other side of that statement is that AGL was already headed for the ground - it is a case of how to not hit the ground that will fall on the new board & executive teams shoulders.
A great customer book - an aging (but substantial) generation fleet that generates lots of cash - unfunded remediation costs - lessons learnt on divesting assets and using PPAs
