its becoming clearer to me at least that the transition leaves the west extremely vulnerable geopolitically. perhaps it was a large motivator for Putin moving back in to Ukraine.
also on your point about investment ethics. there are no ethics. It's all bullshit all kabuki. if what you said occurs, if we are in a position where it's disaster unless we prop coal and gas back up, then these pricks will start setting the narrative that its all OK and ethical to do it. then once they spread that word around enough hey guys its all ethical again for this and that reason, they will be back on board.
