depends where you live and what your cost of living is. if you live in sydneys eastern suburbs and have a mortgage then 200k is not much at all if you have kids in private school, like a restaurent now and then and a holiday once a year, it'd probably be a budget holiday to.... imo you'd be battling.

but if you lived on the nsw central coast in a small apartment and eat at the local pub and send the kids to public school and just live the "simple life" then 200k is a lot.

if your into shopping, restaurents, saving, boats, multiple international holidays at 5 star hotels, great house then about 500k is what you'll need these days
