A: The reservation system is a hosted platform, owned and operated by Navitaire, a subsidiary of Accenture. The cause of the outage was a failure of the solid state storage hardware. This hardware has now been completely replaced with a standard spinning disc system to avoid a recurrence of the problem. With regard to insurance, we will be pursuing all avenues to recover the costs incurred by Virgin Blue as a result of the outage.
