I have been following the case against Bolt in the Federal Court for questioning whether some high profile fair skinned people should be allowed to claim the benefits of being an aboriginal.
I suppose those benefits were originally intended to level the playing field for people who were discriminated against because of their physical features. However the benefits are available for anyone who is aboriginal.
So I went and got my flu jab and the nurse said its $30 for whites and free if you say you are aboriginal.
Apparently genetics don't have anything to do with being aboriginal. It can be a state of mind and you 'self identify'.
Are no forms or proof required. Is there no definition at all? Are the benefits meant to level the playing field for disadvantaged are now available to everyone?
