I suspect the share drop is to do with Appendix 3B. You watch CCL on the 8/5 this year after the announcement of 3B on the previous date(7/5). And again on the 17/6. 16/6 released Appendix 3B. The share price had big dive for about 2 weeks after that. Have you noticed that? I don't think anything to do with the Ex-Dividend Date. Even the company reply to ASX about the Ex-dividend effect was not true. I think Appendix 3B will lead to dilution of the share price, causing the share price drop for a few days. Anyone agreed with me or have better ideas?
So I know now it is not wise to buy straight after the release of Appendix 3B. Thanks for pointing out Ex-dividend related point.
