Most of the shorting is done by brokers, not by idiots like asb and pranav, who have zero incidence on the SP despite their pathetic gloating.
Brokers use most sophisticated tools than you and I. Because their bots buy for them and place orders when and as needed. Likewise, you don't see their stop losses, although they can see ours so they can push here and there to trigger them, but you can't do $hit to trigger theirs. Not a very levelled playing field, hey?
