I feel this is just way too risky right now, especially given the loss of sales from Jan till now. If the travel ban was going to last only another 1-2 months, then I'd be all for it. However, I don't see the west lifting the travel ban until a vaccine is in sight, which could last 12 months.
$3 is a great price from $12, however the business right now is simply in survival mode, and will be making squat from retail sales. The government even said that if Virgin went bankrupt they'd welcome another carrier into the market. Goes to show that the only company worth saving in this industry is Qantas.
Don't know how low this can get, but if institutions are paying 1.70 for it, then I'm sure common folk will want it for a similar price.
