If anyone is silly enough to make their investment decisions on forums such as HC (albeit some great info does arrive) or "the crowd" you refer to Linkman then …...

Research, research, research and more research. Management, fundamentals, market share, pricing, time in market, history and even trends just to mention a few and even then manipulators and shorters will make life hard for a time.

Nationally the govt has a clear mandate for this current situation to be in check within 6 months - all evidence appears they are well on track to achieve such. That will see national restrictions lifted within 6 months - well possibly? and Australia can enjoy a festive Xmas period with domestic travel and accommodation - no guarantees of course - they are no such things in this current situation but govt stimulus and targets are a strong guide and there is more evidence to suggest their objectives and time frames are more plausible than not.
Webjet need all parts of their business firing - International travel - sorry not for some time yet as their will be a lag and to clearly to avoid any repeat of exposure - international flights will be limited and the cruise ship incubators will be non existent for a prolonged period.

Then of course a quality treatment availability and vaccine - crystal ball on that one but it will arrive - possibly by years end as many companies are now at trial phase.

My not overly extended investment is looking longish term and a balance with some shorter term investments so it's a buy for me on a longish term recovery for Webjet and its business recovery. Most here are saying seelllllll and pick up at near placement offer - well if "the crowd" you refer to are on that wagon then you should be saying it's a buy - you know - opposite of "the crowd".

Look forward to topping up more substantially if the opportunity arises.

P.S. management have acted very prompt on this. They had to. Secure funding to save the business now rather than later when a far less premium available. They had another option in KKR they declined - they had huge take up and welcomed a new insto/bank. They have taken salary reductions as they are working their collective backsides off reducing this and that and preparing for resumption of business. Many other companies are still floundering with objective solutions and as stated many will collapse unfortunately for them.

This job keeper govt assistance package will also assist them no end - no one has mentioned the savings there and the retention of some staff for when resumption of business occurs.

Have a great weekend all and best wishes for good health.
