I’ve actually doubled down throughout the drop. It is hard to predict, however hindsight is easy to see and in hindsight, as soon as Italy was in deep water, it should have dawned on me that this was going to end bad. However I have always been a historically poor seller, my method is usually buy and hold.
I can confirm I bought down at around $8, $7 and more recently $5.
Spared up some funds from A2M that I bought at $0.98 as it’s been hovering on highs for some time now despite COVID.
Webjet shares held in my super account via Australian Super (Member Direct self managed option) had a deadline of 08 April, so I had to quickly make a decision. I applied for 200% of my entitlement at $1.70.
Again, it is a hard decision to make at this time - it may appear crystal clear late April that I shouldn’t have done this, that price was going under $1.70 or it could appear crystal clear late April that I did the right thing to buy as much as I could at $1.70? As always, hindsight will be 50-50, we all do the best we can with the information we know. At this juncture in time, I believe that we are at our lows and in 3-5 years time, we will be trading in the $7’s or $8’s as global travel once again takes off.
