I think we need to look seriously at developing other sources of power where possible. We are one of the main hold outs. We can use our good relationships with the big polluters to encourage them to reduce their emissions and to look at other sources of power.
There really has been very little innovation and research into other sources of power because everyone was happy with the status quo.
Thorium reactors could be developed. Bill Gates team have designed a new safe efficient nuclear reactor that runs on nuclear existing waste and burn 90% of the waste reducing nuclear waste stockpiles.
