Like you, I believe that our existence is the result of what you call the "natural order". Is our existence the purpose of the universe? Maybe, maybe not. Can the universe exist without us. I think it can. For the majority of sperm/ova, sentient life does not exist - it only exists for a tiny fraction of them; we are the "lucky" ones. Even for a large portion of humans, life is a grind from birth to death with little purpose beyond surviving to breed.
My opinion on purpose which I have posted before is that the only purpose that exists is the purpose that we create. I don't see purpose in just existing.
