Another point to consider is that David Dicker does not have any children. Although he is not in need of money, it is likely that at some point his holding will be sold. One possibility is a takeover bid emerging from a global competitor seeking to boost their ANZ distribution network. Alternatively institutional investors could absorb the stake. Otherwise it could be good private equity investment. What appealed to me about DDR was the fact that management is invested, they use their own $ to buy stakes, the CEO's compensation is heavily performance driven, they promote from within, they have a sizeable market share, your interests are highly aligned with the CEO (can't think of a better example than DDR) who does not draw a wage. Their growth rates are steady and the company is trading at a reasonable valuation. The market does not see it as a growth co, whilst the share price since IPO shows otherwise.
