ok...not exactly a techie but from what I understand iburst is just a secondary network utilizing ibursts own infrastructure but what unwired utilizes adheres to an international standard and protocol endorsed by intel. Now you would have to say that Australia being simply a mimicker of anything technological overseas , if it works over there…it will work over here.. I think what many people have overlooked is the fact that this is a monopoly or at most a duopoly sharing with Austar. Yes the system is in its infancy but chances are if you wish too communicate in the future wirelessly, then guess what…you have to use Unwired’s spectrum. Unwired is to internet as GSM is to mobiles.
